In July of this year, 2017, I went to New York City with my daughter who was attending a conference in Brooklyn. Here is one of my favourite street photos taken while I was enduring the midday summer's heat.
While visiting the Big Island of Hawaii, we went on a 8 mile bike ride to see the lava flow of Halemaumau vent at Kilauea. The flow comes out of a lava tube and enters the ocean a few feet above sea level - each time is different. At times the lava will break out on the surface and flow for a short or long distance, giving the onlooker an experience of a 'once in a life time' view and while watching this amazing force of nature take it course, creating new land. On February 2, 2017 a large part of the newly formed land collapsed into the ocean.
While visiting Paris in 2013, I took this photo from the Pont de l'Archeveché (Archbishop's Bridge) with the love locks in the foreground. This fence with thousands of locks has now been removed, but the view of the Cathedral Notre Dame can still be admired.
During my visit to London in 2013, my husband wanted to take me to Portobello Market. We walked through the Market on a Sunday, which was very busy. Took us a while to find a restaurant that had a table available for two. Here is one of the photos I took of these colourful buildings on this famous street in London.
Next image is of the beautiful Royal Albert Hall in downtown London. This image was taken on one of our many walks during the evening - heading back to our flat. I love the way the lights shine onto the contoured building structure - a magnificent building indeed.
